Risk Committee Elections
Some decisions in Pi Protocol require specialized knowledge—especially those related to evaluating real-world asset risk, setting haircut rates, or managing the loss reserve pool. For this reason, Pi Protocol empowers the community to elect a Risk Committee.
Responsibilities:
- Review and recommend new RWA vaults
- Set or adjust haircut percentages based on asset risk
- Monitor default risk, maturity cycles, and collateral performance
- Propose emergency actions in the case of protocol-level risks
How it's formed:
- sUSPi holders nominate and vote on committee members during election cycles.
- Committee members serve fixed terms and can be re-elected or replaced.
- All committee decisions must be published and, where applicable, ratified by the wider governance process.
This structure allows the protocol to scale and manage complex RWA instruments without compromising on decentralization or transparency.
